This is today’s bounty. There is a produce shop just downstairs from where I live that always has the freshest and most delicious fruits and vegetables. Honestly, when it comes to fresh produce, I generally don’t pay attention to how much it costs. What I can tell you is this will be enough for me to make chicken soup for my children (and niece and nephews) and zucchini and tomato marinara for me and my wife (recipe to follow). Our produce here is second to none and always fresh. The produce I saw while in America looked great, but just didn’t taste as good as the produce we have here. Next time you visit Israel, be sure to check out (and taste) local produce vendors or one of the many outdoor market places.
